Spring Funding Opportunities
The Healthy Foods, Healthy Lives (HFHL) Institute invites proposals and letters of interest (LOI) for two Spring 2021 funding opportunities:
The University Faculty Research Grant Program seeks to fund new, interdisciplinary faculty research teams that include members from at least three distinct disciplines and that produce research that has a high potential for growth and for becoming self-supporting over time. The priority areas for focus are food protection (safety), prevention of obesity and diet-related disease, food policy, and food security. Within these priority areas, of special importance is the integration of agriculture and health sciences. Up to two grants will be awarded this funding cycle. Each grant will be awarded to an interdisciplinary team for a project with a maximum total cost of $150,000. Projects may be up to two years in length.

The request should seek to establish cross-disciplinary learning and engagement. For this grant cycle, HFHL plans to award a total of up to $20,000. Applicants may seek grant funds ranging from $2,000-$10,000.
