The HFHL Institute administers its grant funds around four priority areas:

In fall 2010, the HFHL Institute also began awarding small research grants to fund student research and/or other activities related to broadening interdisciplinary learning in the areas of food, agriculture, and human health.
In summer 2012, HFHL announced the availability of small supplemental grants ($500 - $1000) to support the advancement and promotion of projects supported by HFHL . This opportunity is available to both past as well as current grantees who have completed no less than six months of their project. Download the application (.pdf) or apply online.
In spring 2013, the Institute released a RFP for the Planning Grant Program. Funding form this program supports the development of authentic community-university partnerships or interdisciplinary University faculty research teams related to food, nutrition and health.
