Communicating and Acknowledging HFHL Funding in Grantee Presentations, Manuscripts or Written Public Communications

HFHL asks that grantees please acknowledge HFHL funding in research publications, conference abstracts, grant proposals, presentations and written public communications, such as press releases. Below is suggested wording of acknowledgement of HFHL funding:

Direct HFHL Funding Support

“This research was supported by a grant from the University of Minnesota’s Healthy Foods, Healthy Lives (HFHL) Institute (specific HFHL grant number(s) assigned to project(s): 15FPCU-6M10MKKI)."

Indirect/Partial Funding Support

“This publication/presentation/grant proposal was made possible with help from the University of Minnesota’s Healthy Foods, Healthy Lives (HFHL) Institute (specific HFHL grant number(s) assigned to project(s): 15FPCU-6M10MKKI).

Press Releases or other Written Public Communications

HFHL wants to work with our grantees and partners in broadly sharing the impacts and outcomes of the work that they do.  We ask grantees to please use the follwing suggested language when publicizing HFHL-supported research in press releases or in other written public communications:

 “…. This study performed at the University of Minnesota, funded by the Healthy Foods, Healthy Lives (HFHL) Institute, reveals that…”

 “…. , said University of Minnesota professor of medicine Jane Doe, whose research is supported by the Healthy Foods, Healthy Lives (HFHL) Institute”
